Angola-based Vestil Manufacturing Corp.’s growth plans are moving forward. The Steuben County Economic Development Corp. says the company has broken ground on its nearly $15 million expansion, which is expected to create up to 100 jobs by 2021.
The project includes an 8,100-square-foot addition to one of its manufacturing plants and the construction of a 250,000-square-foot fulfillment center. Vestil Manufacturing announced the expansion plans in August.
The company is Angola’s second-largest private employer with more than 400 employees across its six facilities. The jobs that will be created with the expansion include managers, welders and machinists, in addition to packaging, shipping and maintenance positions.
The Steuben County EDC did not provide an estimated time frame for the project’s completion. The company manufacturers ergonomic products, loading dock equipment, material handling equipment, drum handling equipment and packaging equipment.
