News Release

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – For the first time in company history, Angie’s List, (NASDAQ: ANGI) has surpassed 200,000 paid members in a single market.

Today the Indianapolis-headquartered company announced that this week its New York City paid household membership exceeded the 200,000 milestone. New York City has ranked as the company’s largest market since 2011 followed by Washington DC, Los Angeles, Chicago and Boston. More than three million households across the country are members of Angie’s List.

“It’s no surprise that we reached the 200,000 member milestone in New York as the folks there have consistently seen the value of being informed consumers,” said Angie’s List founder Angie Hicks. “In addition, this milestone demonstrates that we are a leader in facilitating happy outcomes by giving homeowners the tools they need to shop, search and Snapfix.”

Celebrating 20 years of building relationships among both consumers and service professionals, Angie's List is transforming the local service experience.

“We continue to focus on growing our member base, while building our e-commerce marketplace, which enables transactions between consumers and service providers,” said Hicks.

Angie's List helps facilitate happy transactions between more than three million consumers nationwide and its collection of highly rated service providers in 720 categories of service, ranging from home improvement to health care. Built on a foundation of authentic reviews of local service, Angie's List connects consumers directly to its online marketplace of services from member-reviewed providers, and offers unique tools and support designed to improve the local service experience for both consumers and service professionals.
