The Indianapolis City-County Council has sent an incentive package of up to $18.5 million for Angie's List Inc. (Nasdaq: ANGI) back to committee. Chief Executive Officer Bill Oesterle says councilors are “just doing their jobs” in considering incentives for a planned expansion that could create 1,000 jobs by 2019.

March 2, 2015

Statement From Angie's List Inc. Chief Executive Officer Bill Oesterle

It is the City-County Council's job to be prudent with taxpayers' money, and councillors are just doing their jobs. We appreciate their due diligence in this matter so that they may make an informed decision about a development that will have a lasting impact on the near eastside of downtown Indianapolis.

While we were hoping for an affirmative response tonight from the City-County Council, we appreciate their attentiveness to this project.

We're hopeful that a final decision can be made by March 30 so that we can consider our options as we move forward with our continued expansion and investment.
