American LandMaster Relocating to Whitley County American LandMaster manufactures off-road utility vehicles.

Fort Wayne-based American LandMaster has announced plans to consolidate operations to Columbia City. The off-road utility vehicle manufacturer says it will invest more than $4 million in the Whitley County facility and create up to 67 jobs by 2020.

American LandMaster will lease and equip the 112,000 square-foot space, which will serve as the company’s new headquarters. The Indiana Economic Development Corp. says the move will consolidate the company’s manufacturing operations in Louisiana and Fort Wayne into one location.

"We’re thrilled to continue this American-made tradition by investing in northern Indiana," said Pat Morello, chief executive officer of American LandMaster. "Not only will the new facility create jobs, it will also position American LandMaster to continue our growth through enhanced quality, faster innovation and customer service."

The company says the new facility will accommodate its entire work force. Production is expected to begin in September and American LandMaster plans to begin hiring in June for a variety of positions, including fabrication, welding, assembly, paint and support.

The IEDC has offered the American LandMaster up to $420,000 in conditional tax credits and up to $70,000 in training grants based on the company’s job creation plans. The Whitley County Council will also consider additional tax incentives.
