Amazon Jobs Day Comes to Whitestown

A fulfillment center in Whitestown is one of a dozen Amazon.com Inc. (Nasdaq: AMZN) sites looking to add workers as part of Wednesday’s Amazon Jobs Day. The event aims to help fill more than 50,000 openings throughout the country.
Local representatives say Amazon plans to make "thousands of on-the-spot, benefitted offers" to potential employees. The company says job seekers can also apply online if they cannot attend the events, which run from 8 a.m. to noon.
Amazon Jobs Day will include informational sessions, tours and run through an on-site application process. In addition to the Boone County facility, other sites involved in the first-ever event include: Baltimore; Chattanooga; Etna, Ohio; Fall River, Massachusetts; Hebron, Kentucky; Kent, Washington; Kenosha, Wisconsin; Robbinsville, New Jersey; Romeoville, Illinois; Buffalo and Oklahoma City.
