Amazon Adding Thousands of Seasonal Jobs

(Nasdaq: AMZN) says it will hire thousands of Hoosiers to fill seasonal openings at its fulfillment centers in the state. The company says the jobs in Indiana are part of an effort to add 100,000 workers nationally as demand grows before the holidays.
The e-retailer is not detailing how many will be hired at each location. It has fulfillment centers in Jeffersonville, Indianapolis, Plainfield and Whitestown, and says it has added more than 25,000 full-time jobs in the U.S. since August, many of which are in Indiana.
Amazon.com says last year, "tens of thousands" of seasonal workers parlayed their temporary jobs into a full-time gig.
The company has over 50 fulfillment centers and 20 sorting centers throughout the country.
