AM General Lands Military Contract

South Bend-based AM General LLC has been awarded a $13.7 million military contract. The U.S. Department of Defense says the deal calls for AM General to produce engines for Humvees.

The work involves de-tuned engines with container nuts and is expected to be completed by April 29, 2017. The work will be performed at the company’s facilities in Mishawaka, Ohio and Michigan.

The Defense Logistics Agency and Maritime in Warren, Michigan is the contracting activity.
