AM General Calling Back Some Workers

The South Bend Tribune reports the workers will be involved in Humvee and MV-1 vehicle production. The employees are expected to return early next month. AM General purchased Michigan-based The Vehicle Production Group last year. The company owned the MV-1, which is a wheel-chair accessible vehicle assembled by AM General.
Many AM General workers have been on a “production pause” since 2012.
Company Spokesman Jeff Adams has maintained that workers would be called back when foreign military orders were approved by the federal government.
