(NYSE: ALSN) to provide parts for its Abrams Main Battle Tank. The manufacturer was awarded a $162 million contract for the X1100-3B1 propulsion solution, which also includes upgrades, sustainment kits and support.
The X1100 cross-drive transmission is meant for 50-70 ton heavy-tracked vehicles and has been produced by Allison since 1979. This contract supports the effort to upgrade the Abrams tank and deliveries began in March and will continue through December 2021.

Allison will complete all contract work at its Indianapolis headquarters and manufacturing center.
