Allison Lands Military Contract

Allison Transmission is headquartered in Indianapolis.

The U.S. Department of Defense has awarded a more than $11 million contract to Indianapolis-based Allison Transmission Holdings Inc. (NYSE: ALSN). The contract calls for the production of transmission overhaul kits.

All of the work for the contract will be performed in Indianapolis and is expected to be complete by the end of December. The transmission overhaul kits are being produced for the U.S. Army.

The Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime in Michigan is the contracting activity.
