Allen County Nonprofits Land Investment

Allen County Nonprofits Land Investment

United Way of Allen County is investing more than $4.5 million in nonprofits and community collaborations throughout the next year. In order to receive funding, applicants had to address issues of basic needs, education, financial stability and healthy lives.  

“We are thrilled with the caliber of the programs and community collaborations that United Way can both play a role in and invest in,” said David Nicole, president and CEO of United Way of Allen County. “Allen County is fortunate to have so much human service expertise in the area and people who truly care about changing the lives of those around them.”

This year’s recipients include:

Nonprofit organizations: $2,050,000

  • Aging & In Home Services of Northeast Indiana – $10,000
  • American Red Cross of Northeast Indiana – $21,000
  • Associated Churches of Fort Wayne & Allen County – $30,000
  • Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana – $70,000
  • Blue Jacket – $40,000
  • Boy Scouts of America/ Anthony Wayne Council – $10,500
  • Boys & Girls Club Of Fort Wayne – $25,885
  • Brightpoint – $250,000
  • Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana – $25,000
  • Caring About People – Designation Only
  • Catholic Charities – $87,500
  • Center for Nonviolence – $25,000
  • Community Transportation Network (CTN) – $55,000
  • Cornerstone Youth Center – $14,000
  • Crime Victim Care – $12,000
  • Early Childhood Alliance – $75,000

  • Erin’s House for Grieving Children – $10,000
