Indianapolis-based Allegient LLC has announced a partnership with Boise State University to meet what it calls a “growing demand for data analysts.” The business information technology-consulting firm will offer online and in-person training courses starting this week.
Allegient says the partnership targets a specific skills gap in analytics.
“We recognize the struggle many companies and corporate training departments are facing to keep up with training employees to learn new skills to analyze and manage the explosion of data in today’s workplace. Allegient’s partnership with Boise State offers a solution to this growing gap with course offerings focusing on the latest technologies and trends in data analytics,” Allegient President & CEO Gregg Gallant said.
The company says industry professionals will teach the courses from both Boise State and Allegient.
"The descriptive analytics online course will provide the right kind of skills to fill critical needs in the area of analytics. We are proud and excited to offer this valuable course with our friends at Allegient," said Ken Petersen, Dean of the College of Business and Economics, Boise State University.
