The first director of Grand Park in Westfield has left his position. Specific details were not released, however a spokesperson for Grand Park says Kenneth Alexander, who was named director in February 2015, "is no longer a city of Westfield/Grand Park employee."
Alexander was announced as the park’s first director in late January 2015. During his tenure, Grand Park saw the addition of the Jonathan Byrd’s Fieldhouse and the $20 million Grand Park Events Center.
Grand Park’s economic impact more than doubled during Alexander’s first year as director. Nearly 1 million visitors came to the facility in 2015 and visitor spending topped $97 million.
Grand Park did not release any information on a successor for Alexander.
