AgVenture Inc. is moving its Kentland headquarters to Iowa. The seed company network, which will keep a presence in Indiana through several independent regional affiliates, says the relocation will take place in May or June.

General Manager Matthew Paul says workers affected by the move will receive a severance package and can apply for other positions within the company. In a statement, Paul says "AgVenture Inc. is strengthening its position in a highly competitive environment and improving overall organizational health and efficiency by relocating its corporate headquarters to Johnston, Iowa. AgVenture will continue to operate as an independent company and as an affiliate under the PROaccess umbrella."

The independent company’s within AgVenture’s network that will remain in Indiana include Wabash-based AgVenture McKillip Seed and Gray’s Seed Inc. in Fairland.

Paul says "DuPont Pioneer and PROaccess remain committed to the AgVenture brand, its unique business model, and go-to-market strategy. AgVenture will continue to support its RSCs in delivering the outstanding quality seed, seed products, services and professional support their customers expect."

AgVenture’s independent regional seed companies are in more than 25 states.
