Accuride Details Realignment Plan
Evansville-based Accuride Corp. has announced a realignment of its organizational structure. The company has consolidated its wheel end component business units and created two separate units for its commercial vehicle wheels division. Accuride has also made leadership appointments in connection with the realignment.
Accuride says it is combining its Gunite business and KIC business into a single unit known as Accuride Wheel End Solutions. The company acquired KIC in May. KIC President John Schneider will serve as president of the combined entity and Accuride says the products and technologies it creates will continue to be marketed under the KIC and Gunite brands.
The company says its commercial vehicle wheels business will now operate under two distinct units known as Accuride Wheels North America and Accuride Wheels Europe and Asia.
Gregory Risch, who previously served as president of the company’s Gunite business unit, will now be president of Accuride Wheels North America. Scott Hazlett, who had been president of the single wheels business unit, will serve as president of Accuride Wheels Europe and Asia.
All three of the new appointees will report directly to Accuride Chief Executive Officer Rick Dauch.
"These organizational changes and appointments better align our team to efficiently lead and operate Accuride following our acquisition of KIC, while supporting our continued global expansion initiatives, including completion of our pending acquisition of Mefro Wheels GmbH, which is now undergoing routine merger clearance review with appropriate authorities," said Dauch.
