Warsaw-based AcceLINX, the musculoskeletal health business accelerator launched in 2017 by OrthoWorx, has added a new member to its roster of consultants who are available to assist startups in their growth from concept to commercialization.

Phil Lindeman most recently spent eight years heading up the industrial design + human factors group for DePuy Synthes Joint Reconstruction and Power Tools. He has 30 years of new product development experience in consumer, commercial and medical device markets. While at DePuy Synthes, Lindeman chaired the Global Orthopedics ID+HF Community of Practice, which included human-centered designers from DePuy Synthes’ Trauma, Spine and Sports Medicine businesses. Prior to serving in that role, he held leadership positions within Motorola and Whirlpool’s global consumer design studios, where he delivered numerous ‘WOW-factor’ products such as Motorola’s first metal flip phone.

He holds a BFA in Industrial Design from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from the Lake Forest Graduate School of Business. He also holds 45 design and utility patents in the consumer electronics, home white goods and medical devices industries.
