City residents had the chance to ask questions about IndyGo’s upcoming Purple Line during an open house Thursday evening.
The Purple Line is a 15.2-mile route that will connect Indianapolis to Lawrence.
In addition, infrastructure improvements will be a major impact for the area.
Lesley Gordon, IndyGo director of public relations and partnerships, said the line will add, “accessibility, increase walkability, and it’ll add 9.5 miles of sidewalk to that area.”
The project is expected to cost $155 million.
Future meetings also will share information and allow questions about the project: 6 p.m. March 29, Ivy Tech Community College-Lawrence campus, 9301 E. 59th St.; noon and 6 p.m. April 3 at Central Library, 40 E. St. Clair St.; and 6 p.m. April 11, Avondale Meadows YMCA, 3908 Meadows Drive.
