An effort is underway to invest $90 million in upgrades to a freight rail line running from Louisville to south of Indianapolis. Chicago-based Anacostia Rail Holdings, which owns and operates the line, says it has reached an agreement with CSX Transportation Inc. to pay for the improvements with no public funding. The plan still needs federal approval. Anacostia Chief Financial Officer Bruce Lieberman will discuss the project at The Rail Summit 2014 next month in Chicago. Indiana Secretary of Commerce Victor Smith is also set to speak at the event.
