The latest effort is a 34-acre, $72 million mixed-use development on the city’s west side, near the Midland Trace Trail.
Midland Pointe Development is a joint venture between Secure Holdings LLC and Carmel-based Old Town Companies LLC. The proposed project includes 40,000 square feet of commercial/retail space, townhomes, and a variety of other amenities.
Pending approval from the Noblesville Common Council, the development would be at the southeast corner of State Road 32 and Hazel Dell Parkway.
“Midland Pointe brings immediate density and energy, connecting the trail to an eclectic mix of commercial, residential and green space,” said Mayor Chris Jensen. “Midland Pointe also achieves the desired outcomes of the 2020 Noblesville Comprehensive Plan by creating mixed development nodes that offer convenient shopping and dining, and enhance multi-use transportation options, including pedestrian connectivity to the nearby trail system.”
Jensen says a trail spur will be developed to connect with Midland Trace Trail. The project also calls for event lawn space, a park, and a pond overlook.
The mayor says the improving gateways into the community is part of the city’s master plan to tie quality of place to economic and workforce growth.
If approved at next week’s council meeting, the developers plan to begin construction later this year.
