Vulnerable Adult Care Advocates Inc. is a public benefit program designed to “empower seniors and adults with disabilities to realize better personal, social and economic outcomes.”
VACA says the organization wants to help incapacitated people in their program to live as safely and independently as possible with the help of a volunteer guardian advocate.
It is meant for vulnerable people who do not have willing, capable or suitable relatives to be an advocate.
The organization began serving clients in November of 2020, during the height of the pandemic. Since that time, V.A.C.A. has focused on the recruitment and vetting of volunteers.
