Purdue University Northwest is planning for in-person instruction this fall. In a letter from Provost Kenneth Holford last month, the university says its protective protocols will remain in place for the time being and expects some of the measures will continue in the fall.

Fall semester classes are set to begin August 23.

“As a community of scholars, it is important for all of us to be present on campus to help make PNW a dynamic environment for students and to contribute to the university’s mission, vision and goals,” stated Chancellor Thomas Keon and Holford. “Faculty should plan to be on campus for the fall semester to teach, hold office hours, and otherwise engage with students, colleagues and the activities of their departments and the university.

The university says while it is planning to resume in-person instruction and on-campus student activities, it will be ready to adjust if conditions indicate a need for further health and safety precautions.
