Indianapolis-based Rolls-Royce Corp. has received a boost to one of its existing contracts. The company has been awarded a $62 million contract modification from the U.S. Department of Defense for the production of engines.

The updated contract provides an option to procure certain engines for Navy aircrafts and was contracted by the Naval Air Systems Command in Maryland.

All work will be performed in Indianapolis and is slated for completion December 2021.
