Indianapolis-based Sagamore Institute has named Claudia Cummings (pictured) and Katie Mote to its board of directors.

Cummings serves as president and chief operating officer for the Indiana Philanthropy Alliance. Prior to that Cummings served as vice president of strategic development at Conexus Indiana.  She has also served as deputy commissioner at the Indiana Department of Administration.

Cummings earned a bachelor of arts degree from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania and a master of public affairs from Indiana University.

Mote currently serves as vice president of partnerships, colleges and universities for Project Lead The Way, Inc. Prior to that, she held a variety of roles with Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana, including President of the Madison Campus, Interim Chancellor of the former Columbus/Southeast Region and Vice President of Operations for Southern Indiana. 

Mote currently serves as vice chair of the Indiana State Board of Education.

She holds a bachelor of arts in English and Spanish and a doctor of jurisprudence from Indiana University Maurer School of Law.
