Eastern Indiana Works Receives $1.5M Grant

Subscribe NowEastern Indiana Works Inc. has received a National Health Emergency Grant from the U.S. Department of Labor. The three-year, $1.5 million grant will serve eligible participants directly impacted by the opioid addiction crisis.
The funding will support recovery and workforce services that include work experience, skills enhancement, career counseling and work-ready assessments that aims to prepare participants for jobs.
“Eastern Indiana Works is grateful to Governor Holcomb, the Indiana Department of Workforce Development and the U.S. Department of Labor for this very important funding. This grant will provide Eastern Indiana Works with additional resources to help those who have been severely impacted by this crisis recover and find sustainable employment,” said Kirk Robbins, co-owner of Magna Power and Tool, and chair of the Eastern Indiana Works Board of Directors in a news release.
