Former Indianapolis Star journalist Mark Alesia has been named as university communication director at Indiana State University.  Alesia will lead the development and implementation of the university’s strategic communications and will provide strategic communication support to the president. He earned  the Indiana Journalist of the Year prize in 2018 for his part of the story of Larry Nassar and sexual abuse in USA Gymnastics. Alesia holds a degree from Indiana State University and begins his new role on August 1.
