Bell Techlogix was recently selected to participate in the Department of Defense Military Spouse Employment Partnership, which is aimed at connecting military spouses with nearly 400 partner employers. Senior Vice President of Digital Workplace Services Dale Dye says the firm has already filled more than 50 positions.
In an interview on Inside INdiana Business with Gerry Dick, Dye said the program works to put military spouses into the workplace and then allows them to take their jobs with them if needed.
"From a military spouse perspective…as their spouses move into other duty stations, a lot of times they have to leave and so companies are afraid to hire them, train them and have them leave," said Dye. "We work to give them a job. We make sure that we put them at the forefront so if they’re qualified and have the ability to do the job, then we’re going to make sure that they at least get the interview. We’re going to work to hire them and train them and then, again, allow them to (move) their jobs to the next duty station."
Dye says Bell Techlogix will continue to interview veterans or military spouses for every position available and hopefully hire them. He says participating in the program can open the door to many more potential candidates.
