The 15-story building has a single lobby that serves both the 186-room Hyatt Place and 130-room Hyatt House, developed and constructed by HRI Properties.
As announced earlier last year, hotel amenities include valet parking, over 6,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space, indoor swimming pool and fitness facilities, a second-floor indoor/outdoor lobby bar that overlooks Pennsylvania Street and over 13,000 square feet of ground floor retail space. The development also includes a 382-space parking garage to serve both hotel guests and the general public.
“We are excited to welcome the Hyatt Place and Hyatt House hotels to the landscape of this bustling area of our city’s downtown,” said Mayor Joe Hogsett in a news release. “The Wholesale District hosts millions of visitors each year for sporting events, concerts, shopping, or signature dining experiences, and the Hyatt brands will now offer a top-notch option for tourists and residents alike when they enjoy downtown Indianapolis.”
With more than 90 locations throughout the United States, China, Germany, Mexico, Turkey, and Puerto Rico, this will be the first Hyatt House hotel to open in the state of Indiana.
