Indiana American Water has named Matthew Prine president of Indiana American Water and Michigan American Water. Prine will replace Deborah Dewey on March 25.

Prine joined Indiana American Water in 2014 as director of Government. He also served as executive director of the Indiana Utility Shareholder Association. He has 15 years of utility and government relations experience, including serving as deputy chief of staff in the U.S. House of Representatives.

“We are also excited for Matt to lead our Indiana team,” said American Water’s chief operating officer, Walter Lynch in a news release. “Matt has deep roots in Indiana and has been part of our Indiana leadership team since 2014. He has a strong record of fostering transparent, collaborative and constructive relationships with state and local government officials, communities and customers.”
