Indy Named as Site for Global Church Meeting

Subscribe NowIndianapolis has been announced as the site for the General World Session of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in July 2020. The event, organized in part by the Carmel-based Indiana Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, is expected to bring more than 100,000 people to the city.
President of the church, Vic Van Schaik said that the global event will likely bring people in from more than 200 different countries. “We are excited to be the host city for this global church meeting that occurs every five years in the Seventh-day Adventist Church,” said Van Schaik in a news release. “We hope Hoosiers will become acquainted with our church and learn more about us.”
Plans for other events in Indiana leading up to the world meeting will include simultaneous evangelism meetings being held April and May 2020.
