Fan Events Set For Big Ten Weekend

Subscribe NowThe Indiana Sports Corp. is gearing up for this weekend’s Big Ten Football Championship game in downtown Indianapolis. Several fan and community events are being planned for the big weekend, including the Big Ten Fan Fest, a concert by OneRepublic and more.
It is the eighth year the conference championship will be held in Indianapolis and Saturday night’s game will feature Northwestern University and Ohio State University. Along with the game comes the eighth consecutive Big Ten Fan Fest, which runs from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday and 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday at the Indiana Convention Center.
The fan fest will feature interactive games, entertainment, team band performances, and more. It will also feature youth programs such as the Youth Football Officials Clinic and the USA Football FUNdamental Youth Clinics.
Grammy-nominated band OneRepublic will wrap up the festivities Friday with a free concert at The Pavilion at Pan Am downtown.
On Saturday, the Indiana Sports Corp. will host its third-annual Inspired by the Holidays Equipment Drive and Day of Service. The initiative will see participants gift wrapping new sporting equipment from 10:00 a.m. to Noon on the first floor of the Pan Am building off Georgia Street. The items will be donated to Raymond Park Middle School in Indy.
A special tailgate party will also take place on Georgia Street from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday. The free event will feature the World Famous St. Elmo’s Shrimp Cocktail Eating contest featuring five-time champion Joey Chestnut.
The championship weekend will end with the 2018 Big Ten Football Championship Game at Lucas Oil Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. You can learn more about all of the festivities by clicking here.
