The Indianapolis Colts have named David Knickerbocker vice president of content & production, a newly-created role that unifies the club’s video, radio, digital, social media and creative services and properties into a single business unit.

He is a founder and former vice president of business operations of Banner Collective, a Chicago-based video production company specializing in innovative sports video and marketing. Knickerbocker has more than 15 years of experience in sports multimedia, including creative and sports production and distribution, motion graphics/animation, as well as sports marketing, business development and sponsorship sales.

Prior to founding Banner Collective, he was senior executive director of marketing & business development with the Chicago Blackhawks, where he was responsible for all aspects of marketing, corporate partnerships, game presentation and event planning for the team.

Knickerbocker previously spent seven seasons with the Chicago Cubs marketing department specializing in corporate partnerships, including the addition of permanent signage to Wrigley Field for the first time in its history.

He is an alumnus of Ohio University, where he earned a degree in sports management.
