The Damien Center has appointed Alan Witchey president and chief executive officer. His appointment reflects The Damien Center’s commitment to continued growth and the empowerment of people affected by HIV/AIDS. Witchey brings more than 15 years of experience in nonprofit management to The Damien Center. Most recently, he served as executive director for the Coalition for Homelessness Intervention and Prevention of Greater Indianapolis. Witchey also has prior experience working with The Damien Center and in the field of HIV/AIDS.

Witchey’s previous work with The Damien Center started as a volunteer in the 1990s, and later became a full-time position. His first task will be to begin the strategic planning process to decide the future direction of the organization, and what improvements can be made to existing programs and services.
