Indiana Treasurer Kelly Mitchell has selected Justin Groenert as chief of staff. He previously served as director of government relations & public policy for the Southwest Indiana Chamber. Groenert represented more than 1,800 Chamber members dealing with various policy matters at the federal, state, and local levels to the Indiana General Assembly, Office of the Governor, state agencies, and local government bodies in Vanderburgh and Posey Counties. Prior to that position, he was district director for U.S. Representative Larry Bucshon.

Groenert has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and a certificate in Political Communications from Western Kentucky University and a Masters of Public Administration degree from the University of Southern Indiana.
