AT&T Indiana has named Matt Long director of external affairs. In his new role, he will work with community and business leaders, elected officials and colleagues at AT&T to continue to bring advanced technologies, including high-speed broadband, small cells and the FirstNet public safety communications platform to consumers, businesses and first responders in Indiana.

In addition to serving as a liaison to Benton, Carroll, Cass, Clinton, Fountain, Hendricks, Montgomery, Putnam, Tippecanoe, Warren and White counties, Long will be focusing his efforts on AT&T’s legislative and public policy priorities at the Statehouse.

He previously served as a vice president of Bose Public Affairs Group, where he represented legislative clients on a wide variety of regulatory issues at the Indiana General Assembly, state government agencies and local governments across the state. Long has also served as a legislative assistant for the Indiana House of Representatives.

He received his undergraduate Criminal Justice degree from Indiana University. Long graduated from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis in 2011.
