Indianapolis-based Milhaus has hired John McGurk as vice president of development for its Kansas City office. His career includes working for Kansas City Mayor Sly James as chief of staff from 2011 to 2014 and for Polsinelli as a shareholder in the real estate development practice from 2006 to 2011 and 2014 to date. McGurk has managed multiple real estate development transactions totaling more than $1 billion, including the KC Streetcar that runs between the River Market and Union Station through the central business district. 

He will be responsible for the creation of development pipeline in Kansas City and beyond and execution of Milhaus development projects, including current projects: Gallerie, Marcato, East Crossroads and 27th & McGee.
