Franciscan Alliance has named Patrick Maloney president and chief executive officer of its Franciscan Health hospitals in Dyer, Hammond and Munster. He previously served as CEO of Tenet Healthcare in Illinois. At Tenet, Maloney was instrumental in achieving exponential growth in patient satisfaction,
employee engagement and safety. During his tenure, readmissions decreased while patients seeking care in obstetrics, acute rehabilitation and bariatric surgery increased. Maloney begins work with Franciscan Alliance October 31. He will be taking over leadership from Dr. Mathew Teolis, vice president of medical affairs, who has served as interim-CEO since May.
