Downtown Indy Inc. and Indianapolis Downtown Marketing Inc. have announced officers and members of their respective boards of directors. Charles Bantz, who retired last year as chancellor of IUPUI, will serve as board chair for Downtown Indy. Richard Ellis from PNC Bank and William Henley from Indianapolis Power & Light will serve as vice chair and secretary/treasurer, respectively. The board also added 11 new members. Karen Burns, executive vice president of external relations and the Indianapolis Prize at the Indianapolis Zoo, will serve as chair of the Indianapolis Downtown Marketing board. Chris Latay from Le Meridien hotel will serve as vice chair and Jim Freeman from OneAmerica Financial Partners Inc. will serve as secretary/treasurer. IDMI also added 14 new board directors and/or organization representatives. The IDMI board is an affiliate organization of Downtown Indy Inc.
