IU Health has named Dan Handel as chief medical officer for the IU Health south central region. He grew up in Indiana and completed his medical training at Northwestern University. Handel served in several positions with Oregon Health and Science University before joining IU Health. He most recently served as executive medical director at the Medical University of South Carolina.
