Indy Councilors Hosting Job Fairs

The city says the councilors are looking to boost employment opportunities for youth and adults, as well as provide job readiness and career coaching opportunities.
Pathway Resource Center Inc. in Indianapolis will Friday host its annual Indy MBK Job & Resource Fair from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Light of the World Christian Church. Councilor La Keisha Jackson will join officials from the Indianapolis Community Crime Prevention Grant program, Indiana Black Expo, Flaherty & Collins Properties, Project Indy and EmployIndy for the event, which aims at providing job readiness and career opportunities for individuals ages 16-24.
Council Vice President Zach Adamson will Monday co-host a job fair on the campus of Martin University. The event will run from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and will focus on connecting attendees with employers on the near east side of Indianapolis.
Councilor Marilyn Pfisterer will host the 15th annual Pfisterer Job Fair on April 10 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Lakeview Church on the west side of Indy. The city says more than 60 employees will be on hand, most of whom will be looking to fill a minimum of 15 job openings, ranging from entry-level to management positions.
