Mishawaka-based Franciscan Alliance has named a new chief executive officer for Franciscan Health Crown Point Hospital. Daniel McCormick (pictured) was promoted to the position after serving as vice president of medical affairs since 2014.

McCormick succeeds Barbara Anderson, who was appointed senior vice president of operational transformation with Franciscan Alliance. Anderson has led the Crown Point hospital since 2015.

"I am confident that Barb will be successful in assisting Franciscan Alliance achieve the operational transformation necessary to succeed in today’s ever-changing health care environment," said Kevin Leahy, CEO of Franciscan Alliance. "And, I am equally confident that Dr. McCormick will step into the CEO role in Crown Point and do an excellent job in continuing to improve the quality of care for that community for years to come."

The health system also named new appointments to the Franciscan Alliance Northern Division Board of Directors. They include:

• Kevin Keough (Crown Point) – Co-owner of Keough Mechanical Corp. in Merrillville

• Carey Ransone (Long Beach) – CEO of Progressive Urology PC in LaPorte and Michigan City

• Ebenezer Tayui (Flossmoor, Ill.) – Anesthesiology Specialist at Franciscan Health Dyer Hammond and Munster

• Rick Urschel (Valparaiso) – CEO of Urschel Laboratories
