Heartland Food Products Group, which currently employs 70 in Carmel, is looking for space in either Indianapolis, Westfield, Fishers or elsewhere in Carmel. It could also add approximately 130 jobs as a result of the move.
Heartland Food Products employs 1,200 globally. It has enlisted the services of an advisor to home in on a new HQ and could complete the move within a year and a half. The new space, the company confirms, will house executives, support staff and sales, finance and information technology functions.
Just over two years ago, Heartland announced a $26 million expansion of its Indianapolis operations. Plans at the time involved 190 new jobs by 2020. The company produces store brand and branded liquid water enhancers and zero calorie sweeteners for retail. It has operations in central Indiana, the Netherlands and Mexico.
