K1ds Count LLC plans to invest up to $750,000 to build a new facility in the Crawfordsville Commerce Park and create 30 jobs.
The company has leased space in Crawfordsville for the past two years and the city says the new 10,000-square-foot facility will help address growing demand for pediatric therapy services in the region. The project would also help retain 22 existing jobs. The new jobs would have an estimated payroll of nearly $1.1 million.
"Crawfordsville is a very welcoming and close-knit community," said Lindsay Knez, co-founder of K1ds Count. "We are excited to continue our mission here to help children and families impacted by autism and other developmental challenges."
The city says the project is dependent upon approval of a five-year tax abatement filed with the Crawfordsville City Council. The council will consider the proposal at its next meeting March 12.
