(NYSE: BERY) has announced plans for a $50 million capital investment. The company says the investment will focus on its proprietary Spinlace asset and will include a new commercial production facility in North America.
A spokesperson for Berry tells Inside INdiana Business it expects to announce a location for the facility and the number of jobs associated with it soon. The investment will be part of the company’s Health, Hygiene, and Specialties Division and will focus on the premium applications in the healthcare, hygiene, household cleaning, food service, and industrial wipes markets.
"This exciting news demonstrates our strong commitment to supporting our customers’ growth in the rapidly growing wipes markets as well as the next step in advancing our market leading position in wipes solutions," said Scott Tracey, president of Berry’s Health, Hygiene, and Specialties Division.
Berry says it expects to begin commercial production in 2019.
