Lucas Alumni Leadership Award, recognizing a former member of Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology’s residence life staff for distinguished career achievements.
He’s a native of Franklin and earned a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from Rose-Hulman in 2004 and added a master’s degree in engineering management in 2011. Along the way, Martin served as a sophomore advisor, resident assistant and graduate assistant in residence life for the Office of Student Affairs. He remains involved with the institute as an alumni class agent and helps organize social events for alumni and their families living in central Indiana.
Professionally, Martin was one of the first employees for Appirio’s Indianapolis operations in 2011 and became an account executive in 2016 after working as a solution architect, technical team lead, consultant and project manager. His technical skills have been useful as a cloud professional and consultative engineer, with experience in information technology management. He also has experience in software engineering, sales, marketing and customer service processes.
Martin’s expertise in Salesforce.com’s Customer Relationship Management administration and development has earned him recognition as a Salesforce MVP for 2017, 2016 and 2015.
