Finch Creek Park Fieldhouse will include five courts with hard surfaces, two turf-surfaced fields and 11 batting and pitching cages. The project, which was first unveiled a year ago, is a public-private partnership between Klipsch-Card Athletic Facilities LLC and the city. The company is also owner/operator of the fieldhouse at Grand Park in Westfield.
Finch Creek Park Fieldhouse sits on 10 acres within the 200-acre Finch Creek Park. Under an adjusted agreement approved by the city council at the end of last year, Noblesville will put $300,000 annually in property taxes for 20 years toward the 130,000 square-foot facility, $250,000 a year from the Tax Increment Financing funds for 20 years, sell 10 acres of Finch Creek Park property for $500,000, and place all rental facility responsibility on the developer.
Noblesville Mayor John Ditslear has said the fieldhouse will "pay for itself." It is set to be complete in the fall.
