Commissioner Teresa Lubbers will detail the deal with Credential Engine, which aims to create a single source of information on credentials at Indiana’s public universities.
The commission says Credential Engine is developing a suite of online tools people can use to more easily compare higher education options. The suite will be built on what the commission calls a first-of-its-kind credential library, which already contains every healthcare credential in the state and every Next Level Jobs credential.
Lubbers will be joined by the commission’s chief academic officer, Ken Sauer, and Ivy Tech Community College President Sue Ellspermann. The announcement is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. at Regions Tower in downtown Indianapolis.
