Providence Cristo Rey High School has named Margie Crooks president. She has more than two decades of experience in leading mission-focused organizations, including critical roles within the Diocese of Lafayette and the Archdiocese of Detroit. Crooks previously served as director of mission discipleship for the Church of the Blessed Sacrament parish in West Lafayette. She also has an extensive background in healthcare operations management. 

During her time with the Archdiocese of Detroit as director of Department of Evangelization, Catechesis & Schools, Crooks oversaw several areas of the Archdiocesan restructuring, which included 125 schools and 270 parishes. She also guided these schools and parishes through the development, alignment, and implementation of strategic goals for quality, Catholic education.

Crooks earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Purdue University West Lafayette and her master’s degree in Theology with a specialization in Adult Education & Formation from Franciscan University of Steubenville. She earned her Doctorate in Pastoral Ministry from the Graduate Theological Foundation.
