The event, being led by the Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute and the IU Research and Technology Corp., aims to assist researchers in capitalizing on their ideas.
The summit is part of the Accelerating Women and underRepresented Entrepreneurs, or AWARE, program, which is a partnership among IU, the University of Louisville and the Missouri University of Science and Technology. The Indiana CTSI says summit will include talks on using funding mechanisms to commercialize technologies, pitching ideas to management teams or investors, as well as case studies from investigator-entrepreneurs.
Jesus Soriano, program director at the National Science Foundation, and entrepreneur Aoy Tomita-Mitchell will provide keynote addresses at the summit. Organizers say there will be networking opportunities for attendees looking to broaden their research scope and commercialization opportunities.
