She replaces Jim Freeman, who retired in May after 27 years with the company. Pittman previously served as communications director for the city of Indianapolis. She also previously served as a communications director at both the Indiana Secretary of State and the Milton and Rose D. Friedman Foundation. Pittman also worked as director of marketing for the Office of Greg Ballard, the deputy director of Indy Parks and vice president of programs at the Simon Youth Foundation. She received her BA in journalism and public relations from Franklin College.
Also, Lou Ann Baker has been named public relations director. She previously served as associate chief operating officer for workforce integration at the Indiana Department of Workforce Development. Baker was the founder of Baker Public Affairs. She also previously served as director of communications for the office of the Lt. Governor. Baker previously served as manager of public affairs for United Water Services. She received her BA in biology and communications from Hanover College.
