Lieutenant Governor Suzanne Crouch will Friday join military, state and local officials in Odon to mark the first new commercial expansion at the WestGate@Crane Technology Park. The $4.3 million building will be leased by Virginia-based Alion Science and Technology Corp. and could create more than 60 jobs.

Construction on the 40,000 square-foot building is expected to be complete in December. When the project was announced last November, WestGate@Crane Development Co. owner Dale Ankrom said Alion was expected to create up to 24 jobs in its first year, 30-35 jobs within five years and 42-60 jobs within 10 years.

The expansion will be located in the Daviess County portion of the technology park. Friday’s event is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
